Your guide to the perfect Sunday in New York, wearing your Asha set.
4-minute read
The perfect Sunday in New York starts with a good outfit and a little room for spontaneity. Brunch becomes a walk, a walk becomes drinks, and suddenly you’re sharing dessert and wondering why you don’t do this more often.
For this Sunday, we’re starting in Meatpacking and ending in SoHo. Expect caviar, city views, a little dancing, and several opportunities to tell your friend, “Wait, let me get a picture of you.”
Wear your Asha set. You won’t be going home to change.
First, the outfit
Sunday is a lovely time to take your pinstripes out for pleasure.
For this outing, I paired the Kangday Pinstripe Top with the Asha Skirt, layered over a crisp white collared shirt and tie. There’s something I love about taking those familiar workwear details and giving them a more feminine point of view. The structure up top, the movement of the skirt—it feels powerful, playful, and a little sexy.
A robe-style coat and a chic hat finish the look with a touch of Parisian attitude. It’s dressed up enough to make brunch feel like an occasion, and exactly what I want to be wearing when we decide to stay out for one more drink.
I'm carrying the medium-size Birkin 30, because Sunday feels like the perfect time to actually enjoy the bag you’ve worked so hard for. You’re traveling light, stopping at a few favorite places, and taking your time between them. Give your Birkin a proper outing. Carry it to brunch, let it join you for cocktails, and enjoy feeling like the boss you are.
Brunch at RH in Meatpacking
Start at RH Guesthouse, many know of the Rooftop but I believe the sister restaurant that's also a hotel is a cooler vibe and it's much easier to get a reservation. Book ahead and bring a friend who enjoys a long conversation over a beautiful meal.
Our ideal order: fluffy French-style eggs, thin butter pancakes, caviar, and the best Shrimp Caesar salad, the one you’re still talking about on the walk afterward. There is something especially satisfying about alternating between soft eggs, a little caviar, and a crisp, salty forkful of Caesar. This is a brunch worth sitting down for properly.
Drink of choice: The Hugo Spritz Darling!
Take an outfit photograph before the food arrives, then give your friend your attention. Ask what she’s excited about. Find out what she wants to do next. Plan something together while you’re both feeling inspired.
Let the meal run a little long. You made time for this.
THE LOOK: Asha Pants & a Tank Top? Who knew that would be so chic!

A walk on the High Line
After brunch, head to the High Line for fresh air, views, and a chance to digest. The southern entrance at Gansevoort and Washington Streets makes a convenient starting point from Meatpacking.
Walk slowly enough to notice where you are. Look at the buildings, the planting, and the people enjoying their own version of a Sunday afternoon. Pause when you find a view you love.
You don’t need to walk the entire park. A leisurely stretch gives you time to enjoy the city from above before heading downtown to SoHo.
This is also your moment for a photograph in motion. Let your friend catch the silhouette of your Asha set as you walk or turn. The fabric, the proportions, the city behind you, it all comes together without much direction.
Then put your phone away and enjoy the rest of the walk.

Drinks by the bar at Maison Close
By late afternoon, you’re ready for a livelier room.
Head to Maison Close on Watts Street for drinks by the bar. Its festive weekend brunch brings French dining and an upbeat SoHo crowd together, making it a natural next stop when you’re ready to turn the afternoon up a little.
Arrive with time to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere. Order something you love, have some water, and see where the conversation takes you.
We’re chasing that around-six feeling when brunch has become a party and nobody seems ready to go home. Check the day’s programming rather than relying on a fixed club transition; Maison Close currently lists its SoHo Sunday hours as noon to 7 p.m.
Compliment the woman whose outfit caught your eye. Introduce your friends. Dance if the moment calls for it.
Your Asha set has already taken you through brunch and a walk. A quick lipstick refresh, and you’re ready for this part, too.
And if you ever eat here for brunch and you're looking for a chic surprise for the birthday girl, Maison Close will put her name on the menu. How cute is that?

Finish at Cipriani Downtown
When you’re ready for one more stop, walk over to Cipriani Downtown on West Broadway. The SoHo restaurant serves Italian specialties and Harry’s Bar classics, a fitting finish to a Sunday spent enjoying yourself.
Come for another drink and the pleasure of feeling like the most fabulous New Yorker in the room. It's probably the strongest dirty martini you'll ever have but it's tiny so you can handle it.
Your outfit still looks good. Your friend is excellent company. You have stories from the afternoon and absolutely no reason to rush through them. Plus every one there is so fabulous and so your outfit fits right in. You're guaranteed to get a glance or two.
Space can feel a little tight, so be flexible. If the bar is crowded, ask whether a table is available for drinks and dessert, and confirm what the restaurant can accommodate. Reserve ahead if a seat is essential to your evening.
Somewhere between the first forkful and the last sip, make plans to do this again.
Because the perfect Sunday deserves a place on your calendar and there are 7 more pieces in the Asha capsule that deserves another outing.
